Katherine Furman

Katherine was born and raised as a “Yooper” in the mitten’s state most desolate area, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Desiring to experience more than her home town’s below-zero temperatures one half of the year and wooded swamps infested with the gnarliest mosquitoes the other half of the year, Katherine often found herself traveling to explore new areas of the U.P. and the neighboring states every free day she had; so after hearing about Summit County from her high school best friend who had just moved there in 2015, it was no surprise that Colorado became an interest for Katherine. Within the next two weeks, Katherine had secured housing and a job in Keystone and moved to Summit County “just for the winter season”. Driven by her adventurous soul, Katherine has now been living in Colorado ever since and has been exploring and enjoying everything outdoors this great state has to offer. In her free time, you can find Katherine with her dog hiking, biking, backpacking, camping, kayaking, snowshoeing, snowboarding, and simply loving the mountain life.
