Jim Van Der Kar

Project Manager

Jim, a Vermont native, received his degree in Natural Science at Castleton State College in Vermont. Jim comes from a family of builders and has a background primarily in framing and trim work. He was recently married in Breckenridge to his college sweetheart, Stefanie. He loves to scuba dive, ski, fish, hunt, dirt bike as well as traveling and taking in new experiences and cultures with his wife.


Jake Wilson

Jake grew up in small towns in Maine, has a love for the outdoors, a great personality, and a creative energy. After graduating from the University of Maine with a BA of Fine Arts, he decided a change of scenery would be nice and Colorado would be a perfect fit.


Jack Stys

Project Superintendent

Originally from Massachusetts, Jack decided after 18 years of skiing the east coast he would give the Rockies a try. Jack moved to Colorado in 2017 and after spending 4 years in the restaurant and the golf industry, he is excited to join the Pinnacle team. When not at work find Jack in the Summit County softball league but mainly skiing big lines or golfing all summer with plenty in between.


Jake Leonard

Originally from Maine, Jake traded his swim trunks for snow pants. As so many of us, Jake loves the outdoors. He enjoys activities such as snowboarding, surfing, hiking, hunting, fishing, just to name a few. He can also play the guitar, uke and mandolin.


Ian Rice

Project Manager

Ian grew up in Littleton, Colorado and achieved his bachelor’s degree in construction management. After working in the commercial construction world for the first few years of his career, he volunteered to move to Summit County to work on a new project. He soon realized he wanted to make mountain living a more permanent part of his life and joined the Pinnacle team. When Ian’s not at work, you can find him skiing, biking, climbing, and doing anything to be outside in the backcountry.

 


Greg Newman

Greg started his career in the financial sector; however, after successfully completing a few renovations in Denver, he decided to move to Summit County to pursue a career in building custom homes. When he’s not working, Greg’s most likely with his family mountain biking in the summer, skiing in the winter, or traveling to new destinations.


Elyse Chudacoff

Project Manager

Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Elyse moved to Colorado to study Interior Design at Colorado State University. Soon after graduating she made her way to Summit County. Elyse brings a holistic approach to architectural design. Outside of work she enjoys seeing live music, snowboarding, paddle boarding, biking, hiking, and hanging out with her husband and dog.


Derek Barrera

Project Superintendent

Derek was born and raised here in colorful Colorado. After graduating high school in 2019, Derek decided to attend CU Denver. After a semester in Denver he learned his true calling would be in the mountains of Summit County. He joined the Pinnacle family in the spring of 20’ and has not looked back since. When he’s not working you can find him out playing golf, hitting the slopes or detailing cars!


David Rynes

EVP, Project Development

David was born into an entrepreneurial spirit, starting work at a young age in his family’s business – an amusement park – just outside of Chicago.  He further cultivated his work ethic, leadership skills, and engineering background in Annapolis, MD, at the United States Naval Academy.  During that time, he also met his beautiful wife, Adrienne, on a blind date.  After a relocation to Adrienne’s home town, David started his own residential construction business, where he further applied his skill set toward creating stunning homes.  After over a decade of running his own business, David and his family decided it was time to fulfill their long time goal of living in the mountains of Colorado, and joined the Pinnacle team in the Summer of 2018.


David Flores

David moved out from West Virginia to Colorado in March 2020 to live with his brother Ricky and to explore Colorado. He loves fly fishing, snowboarding, hiking, and camping.
